Professional Laminate Flooring Installation & Fitting Services

High-density, water-resistant click-lock laminate plank installation

engineered for scratch resistance, acoustic comfort, and lifetime structural performance.

High-Impact Timber Aesthetics

Precision Laminate Flooring Installation Built for Modern Homes

Modern high-density laminate delivers the rich texture, deep wood graining, and natural beauty of authentic timber at a fraction of the cost. Our specialized laminate flooring installation services bring scratch-resistant, durable, and budget-friendly flooring solutions to active family homes, busy rental properties, and commercial office spaces.

While click-lock laminate planks are designed for quick mechanical jointing, achieving a flat, squeak-free finish requires expert subfloor preparation. Minor concrete ridges, subfloor dips, or unmitigated moisture vapor can cause plank joints to separation or peak over time.

At MP Hardwood Flooring, our certified installers adhere strictly to North American Laminate Flooring Association (NALFA) standards. We test baseline subfloor moisture, correct floor level variances, lay high-density sound-dampening underlayments, and maintain mandatory expansion perimeters for a seamless result.

Frequently Asked Questions About Laminate Flooring

Can laminate flooring be installed over existing wood or concrete subfloors?

Yes, provided the existing surface is clean, dry, flat, and structurally sound. For concrete subfloors, we install a mandatory 6-mil polyethylene vapor barrier beneath the underlayment to prevent moisture migration into the HDF core.

How do you prevent laminate floor planks from squeaking or buckling?

Buckling and squeaking occur when expansion gaps around wall perimeters are omitted or when subfloors are unlevel. We leave mandatory 1/4" to 3/8" expansion gaps around all room edges and level subfloors within 3/16" over 10 feet prior to fitting.

What is the difference between Laminate and Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)?

Laminate is built around a high-density wood fiber core (HDF), giving it a firmer, more authentic timber feel underfoot. LVP is constructed from PVC/limestone polymers, making it 100% waterproof for extreme moisture zones like bathrooms.

Can damaged laminate floor planks be repaired or replaced individually?

Yes. If a plank gets deeply scratched or chipped, our installers can unlock the floor from the nearest wall perimeter or use precision plunge router techniques to replace the damaged plank without dismantling the entire room.

Is laminate flooring safe for homes with active pets?

Absolutely. AC4 and AC5 commercial-grade laminate options feature extremely tough aluminum-oxide top wear layers that resist dog claw scuffs, high-impact denting, and everyday pet activity.

How long does laminate flooring installation take to complete?

Most average residential projects (approx. 500 to 1,000 sq. ft.) can be completed within 1 to 2 days, including subfloor prep, underlayment installation, plank fitting, and baseboard trim installation.
