Frequently Asked Questions

A standard 1,000-square-foot residential installation typically takes 2 to 4 days, depending on subfloor preparation requirements and the chosen installation method (nail-down vs. full glue-down). Allow additional time beforehand for mandatory material acclimatization.

Solid hardwood requires direct fastening to a wooden subfloor or specific sleepers. However, engineered wood can often be glued or floated over existing well-bonded ceramic tile or sheet vinyl, provided the surface is flat, clean, structurally sound, and free of moisture issues.

Pre-finished wood comes pre-sanded, stained, and factory-cured with multiple aluminum-oxide protective coats, allowing immediate foot traffic post-installation. Site-finished wood is installed raw, then sanded, stained, and sealed on-site, providing a completely smooth, continuous surface without micro-beveled edges.
